A message from Dr. Dwight Bonk, Superintendent, and Marie Johnson, BOE President

On behalf of the District Office senior staff and the Board of Education, we would like to wish all of our families a happy, healthy, and safe holiday season! We greatly appreciate your unwavering support of our District and students. Our winter recess will be from December 24 through January 4. We look forward to a very productive new year, and our continued work together as we remain “Focused on Today, and Planning for Tomorrow."

what's happening

  • The Board of Education will hold a public hearing on Monday, December 15, at about 7:30 pm at Wappingers JHS (30 Major MacDonald Way, Wappingers Falls NY) to seek input/feedback on the 2025-2026 REVISED District-wide School Safety Plan. The revised plan was modified to include cardiac emergency response procedures.

  • Regents exams are held January 20-23. Only students scheduled to take exams are required to attend school.

  • The annual Science Fair will be held on March 7, 2026. Students in grades 5-12 are invited to submit their applications--we look forward to seeing your projects in the spring!

  • We are delighted to offer our FREE Community Math Help and Homework Assistance program in collaboration with IBM!

    • Open to all WCSD students in grades 5-12
    • Wednesday evenings from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM, starting October 15
